The Importance of Trees & Forests
All forests in the world are part of the global ecosystem that enriches our life. The forest ecosystem is a complex system that involves elements of water, soil, atmosphere, plants and animals.
In Malaysia, about 77.2% of our land is covered by the tropical rainforest. In Peninsular Malaysia, most of the forests are found in Pahang (37.6%), Kelantan (15%), Perak (14.4%) and Terengganu(37.6%) and a large part of forests still cover the state of Sabah and Sarawak.
